Chai Tea Made Easy Naturally with Essential Oils

I love Chai Tea it taste so good when I'm perched up by the windowsill, the perfect alternative to coffee and it has the most amazing medicinal benefits for stomach upset, nausea and motion sickness.  Chai tea is ancient herbal remedy and dates back 5,000 years to the ancient courts of Siam and India.  In ancient times, Kings lived with their very own chinese medicine doctors who consulted them on health and herbal remedies. Chai tea was created when a king concocted a recipe in a quest to create a healing beverage, and created Chai which became healing tradition of “ayurveda” alternative medicine. Along with massage, herbs, yoga and other healing elements, chai tea was consumed to naturally heal the body. The popularity of chai tea spread throughout South Asia and into the Western World, and it continues to grow today. I created this recipe this morning to satisfy my Chai Tea cravings and to reduce my visits to the nearest coffee shop. After finishing graduate school my spending habits have significantly reduced, and I've started to become super creative with how to live on a budget and look like a Diva. After all, I could do with out the dairy and all the sugar loaded in those commercial beverages  to maintain my girlish figure. Believe it or not I created this recipe in under 5 minutes, and a whole batch prepared for the entire week. This recipe is so good I don't even need sugar.

So get your ingredients out, boil about 8 cups of water. Take it off the burner and let it cool for a minute or two. I plop in my tea bag into my 64oz jar and let it seep for 2-4 minutes. Add the remaining amount of wage (8 cups- 16 cups total). Add your drops of essential oil as listed. You can add turbinado sugar at this point as sweetener to taste. (I use turninado because it's less refined, taste better and natural).

Stir that baby till solution is clear, let it sit till it's cool enough to put in fridge. I suggest using an air tight bottle with a latch to preserve freshness and Vola! Add any kind of plant based milk to for a more healthy alternative and Chai Tea on. Can be consumed cold or hot. Reheat tea before adding milk.

Soooo What are the benefits? Well I'm about to show ya.
