There're an abundance of healing modalities. Ayurvedic medicine, ancient medicine, herbology, homeopathy, vibrational healing, the list can go on forever. Among them all I first chose Chinese Medicine because it brought me back from depression to living life more whole. Chinese medicine improves the flow of energy throughout our body using an array of modalities within its own practice. It also helps the body achieve health through balance as we evolve into the process of getting in touch with our true selves.
Acupuncture us just one therapeutic modality used for over thousands of years in China. It's still used to treat several ailments and China's primary care before modern intervention is considered. Acupuncture came to the Western world in 1970’s, however there are still thousands who are learning about the positive effect of Acupuncture everyday. In fact their are only 30,000 Acupuncture physicians in the US and our currently population is about 300M. The value on knowing what Chinese Medicine can do for you will significantly change your life.
Chinese Medicine achieves balance in mind body and spirit. It improves the flow of energy as it ebbs and flow's through our body and mind and the rest of the world. The best way I can describe eastern medicine's intricate way of work is by comparing it to nature. In nature too much of one thing and too little of something else can cause an excess or a deficiency of patterns. For example, too much water will drown a plant, too little water will dry it out. Same with our bodies. Over eating cause weight gain, not enough exercise may result in negative factors that can begin to impair organ function. After several years of behaviors we grow up with, develop the body changes. We have to keep the process of evolving balanced before systems in our bodies start to shut down.
When our health is radiant, there is harmony in the body. If the balance is disturbed, and the flow of energy becomes more excessive than the other, illness occurs. Forces of energies flow through very definite channels in the body, or meridians, these are the body’s healing energy pathways.
Our body has a road map of highways and by ways. It's like a micro universe with internal systems that resemble many features in nature. The matrix is made up of twelve primary meridians connected to each organ system and several micro systems. Out side of that exist micro systems and even more undiscovered points and invisible structures. Theses systems are interconnected to the elements of the earth and are affected by the seasons, emotions, food we eat and the relationships we have.
As we go about our lives or body is working internally to keep the network functioning well so we can continue working. For example, when it gets cold our body tells us to put on more clothes so our internal organs are protected and will continue to function properly. When It's hot, the body sheds excess and elements internal toxins thought sweat to cleans organs so they function more efficiently. Sounds too simple right? Life is simple until we become out of balance. When bodily functions become impaired, it takes extra help to initiate the system in to proper function.
