When it's back to school season, you kick into Supermom mode. Your shopping for backpacks, school supplies, buying new clothes, scheduling PTA meetings and after school programs.
The one thing we might forget is, how to keep our kids on point for learning with immune boosting foods.
So by now you are rolling your eyes at me because your kids won't eat green's. Making a smoothie with green's is unheard and sounds like too much effort. No worries I got you covered. I did my research and discovered...
A recent study says most people think preventive care is expensive, they don’t know what they need and some people don’t make it a priority.
so here are a few tips from your good old Chinese Medicine Chic.
You want to make a smoothie so buy all your fruits fresh. Set some time aside to clean cut and store them in freezer zip lock bags. I prep Kale, spinach, apple, blueberries, strawberries, black berries, beets, bananas, pineapples and mangos (if they are in season). Clean them and cut them up. Use a small handful of each for an after school treat.
Here's a great recipe that's Kid Approved.
1 c distilled water
1/2 Grapefruit with pith
1 FIJI Apple
4 oz organic strawberries
1/2 oranges with white fuzz and seeds
3 Mint leaves
Slice of ginger
I get all my smoothie recipes from Jeff Permack, Supreme QiGong practitioner. You can find a list of his 87 smoothie recipes here.
Spring Onion, ginger, mustard seed, horseradish and chili. These ingredients dispel cold, warms the interior thus strengthen the immune system.
Diffuse, Rosemary, eucalyptus, cinnamon, wild orange, clove all together or individually. These oils together support a health immune function, protects against environmental threats, supports body's natural antioxidant defense, promotes health circulation and creates an energizing and uplifting aroma.
Using essential oils has many health benefits. I am confident that when used day and night you will see a difference in your family's health. You an use essential oils safely by diluting them with a fractionated coconut essential oil. Apply them to the base of the spine and at the bottom of the feet before bedtime and before rushing kids off to school.
I like to use my essential oils internally. Some people are unsure of how to use oils interally and which ones. If we think about it for a minute, if we can make a smoothie with peppermint leaves, shouldn't we be able to take the oil from the plant internally too? In Chinese medicine we take a combination of herbs to make a formula designed to meet your patter. The same should be done when using essential oils. We call this making a blend.
If you like to know which ones they are I provide one on one consultations catered to your health needs. Not all essential oils are created equal. Connecting with me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for your individual and specific needs.
